On this occasion, a delegation from Castelfidardo(Beniamnino Bugiolacchi/right and Vinzenzo Canali/left) took the opportunity of presenting her with a Paolo Soprani accordion as an emblem of the Marche region Deutsch Die beliebte TV-Moderatorin Michelle Hunziker (unter anderem zusammen mit Gottschalk in der Sendung „Wetten, dass....“) hat vor kurzem im italienischen Badeort Senigallia ihr neuestes musikalisches "Mi Scappa da ridere" („mir ist zu Lachen), im Theater "La Fenice uraufgeführt. Bei dieser Gelegenheit wurde ihr von der Delegation aus Castelfidardo (Beniamnino Bugiolacchi / rechts und Vinzenzo Canali / links) ein Paolo Soprani diatonisches Akkordeon als ein Wahrzeichen der Region Marche, pràsentiert.  MASTERCLASS e WORKSHOP di FISARMONICA DIATONICA al Festiva di Castelfidardo.Via Mazzini, 11 presso l'Area Music & Co. SABATO 9 OTTOBRE dalle 9.00 alle 13.00 e dalle 15.00 alle 17.00 DOCENTI: Antonio Spaccarotella e Danilo Di Paolonicola In lingua italiana e inglese. Per effettivi e uditori Il corso si rivolge a musicisti di fisarmonica diatonica di livello base o avanzato. È previsto un numero massimo di 10 studenti effettivi e di 60 uditori. Lo stage è rivolto a tutti coloro che suonano l'organetto ( 2, 4, 8, 12 e 18 bassi) che vogliono migliorare l'aspetto tecnico e interpretativo e ampliare il loro repertorio. Possono accedere allo stage anche coloro che non leggono la musica e che non hanno una preparazione particolare sullo strumento. L'argomento principale dello stage sarà la Musica (etnica e popolare). Lo stage sarà suddiviso in due parti: teorica e pratica. • Nella prima parte verranno affrontati i seguenti argomenti: costruzione degli accordi, delle scale, funzioni armoniche, trasporto melodico, analisi dei ritmi più utilizzati, analisi della partitura, cenni sull'improvvisazione. • La seconda parte sarà dedicata quasi esclusivamente allo strumento: utilizzo del mantice (dinamiche, effetti, etc.), armonizzazione dei bassi, gli accordi possibili con la mano destra (a seconda dello strumento utilizzato), lo studio delle articolazioni, effettistica dello strumento, come migliorare la propria tecnica in breve tempo, perfezionamento dei brani già assimilati, saltarello abruzzese (lo studio fraseologico, espressivo e stilistico, utilizzo dei bassi, accenti, l'utilizzo del mantice, effetti, introduzione di figurazioni ritmiche e pattern melodici, improvvisazione sul saltarello). | CASTELFIDARDO | Teatro Astra 09 Ottobre 2010 ore 21:00 ingresso gratuito Marc Perrone Duo MARC PERRONE Figlio di immigrati italiani, nato in Francia, ha trascorso la sua infanzia nella periferia di Parigi. Dagli anni '70 la passione per la fisarmonica diatonica non l’ha più lasciato. Nulla di ciò che tocca in questo strumento è a lui sconosciuto. Ne ha più di trenta. Il suo primo album dal titolo “Accordéons Diatoniques” è uscito nel 1979. Da allora, Marc Perrone ha condiviso la sua musica con numerosi musicisti tra cui: Marcel Azzola, Bernard Lubat, Michel Portal, Louis Sclavis, Jacques Di Donato, André Minvielle, Arthur H. Ha composto molte partiture che ha suonato dal vivo in film muti (Jean Renoir, Charlie Chaplin, Jean Vigo ...). Ha anche composto musica per il teatro e la televisione e ha tenuto migliaia di concerti nei cinque continenti. MARIE-ODILE CHANTRAN Compagna di Marc Perrone con cui condivide l’universo giocoso e poetico, Marie-Odile Chantran apporta con delicatezza il suo tocco poliedrico. Canta, suona la vielle e le claquettes (repertorio tradizionale, canzoni realiste, composizioni, improvvisazioni, musica da ballo,…) Incontra Marc Perrone negli anni ’70, e con lui sposa la vita dell'artista avvicinandosi sia alla scena internazionale che alle zone rurali del sud-ovest, dove insieme intraprendono una ricerca delle tradizioni presso gli anziani musicisti e ballerini. Divide il suo tempo tra concerti, spettacoli, stage, attività per tutte le età (anche intrattenimento e danza per i giovani) e differenti progetti artistici. Suona la ghironda, violino, la fisarmonica diatonica, canta, balla e fa ballare. Piccola Orchestra La Viola Nata nel 1994, da un’idea di Antonella Costanzo (voce solista) ed Alessandro Parente (direttore e compositore) e dall’incontro di musicisti delle province di Roma, Frosinone e Latina, la Piccola Orchestra La Viola, formazione di ispirazione popolare con influenze mediterranee, è considerata a pieno merito tra i gruppi più inediti nel panorama della worldmusic italiana.  MANUEL SAVRON E' nato il 23 gennaio 1991 a Capodistria (SLO - Slovenia). A dieci anni ha intrapreso lo studio della fisarmonica classica come autodidatta. Un anno dopo ha cominciato a studiare la fisarmonica diatonica con il maestro Mitja Kodarin, campione mondiale juniores 1991.Dopo un anno di studio con Mitja, ha iniziato a studiare con il maestro Andrej Gropajc, campione mondiale juniores 2001. Durante lo studio con Andrej, durato 5 anni, ha vinto la maggior parte dei concorsi. Successivamente si è perfezionato dal prof. Zoran Lupinc, primo campione mondiale di fisarmonica diatonica nel 1987 e professore dei suoi precedenti maestri. Quest'anno ha concluso con il massimo dei voti e la lode il programma inferiore di fisarmonica diatonica in Slovenia. Nel 2009 ha tenuto un concerto come solista nella scuola di musica di Capodistria (SLO) ed è stato ospite in radio Eurostar a Umago (CRO), ospite a Radio Koper - Capodistria (SLO), ospite in TV Sponka (SLO), ospite alla trasmissione "Lo scrigno" di TeleFriuli, ospite nel festival Alpe Adria Folk Fest a Portole (CRO) nel 2004, 2006, 2008 e 2009. L'anno scorso è stato proclamato Campione Europeo assoluto 2009 di fisarmonica diatonica ad Attimis con 100 punti su 100. Attualmente sta arrangiando brani varietè e classici per fisarmonica diatonica, è maestro di fisarmonica diatonica presso la Comunità degli italiani di Momiano (CRO) e si sta preparando per l'esame d'ammissione al corso superiore per Saxofono al conservatorio.  ALESSANDRO E GRABRIELEAlessandro e Gabriele iniziano gli studi di fisarmonica in tenerissima età, e già da subito danno prova del loro straordinario talento musicale che unito alla loro curiosità, li ha spinti a diventare dei bambini fuori dai soliti schemi accademici. Fiori all’occhiello del loro insegnante Antonio Spaccarotella, Alessandro e Gabriele sono senza ombra di dubbio i più grandi talenti della fascia Under 16 di fisarmonica diatonica in Italia. A soli 9 anni questi bambini hanno totalizzato uno svariato numero di concorsi nazionali ed internazionali vinti con primi posti assoluti e si stanno preparando alla volta dei campionati Mondiali di fisarmonica diatonica. Se pur piccolissimi questi bambini eseguono un repertorio complesso di musica colta per organetto con autori come: R.Tesi, D.Di Paolonicola, A. Spaccarotella, Trombesi, E. Pascoal. Attualmente studiano presso il Conservatorio Tchaykovky di Nocera Terinese (CZ) nella classe di fisarmonica diatonica con il M° Antonio Spaccarotella e il M° Danilo Di Paolonicola e si stanno preparando ad una lunga stagione di concerti che li porterà in tutta Italia. | The winner of this year's senior all ireland in Cavan Conor Moriarty from Kilcummin Killarney. Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann is the largest group involved in the preservation and promotion of Irish traditional music Every year they run the definitive system of competitions for Irish music, called the “Fleadh Cheoil” (literally “feast of music”). Musicians compete in a series of qualifying rounds, culminating in the annual All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil na Éireann, which was held this year in Cavan. Amongst the categories is one for the Button Box (Bosca) and this years winner in the senior section was Conor Moriarty from Kilcummin, Killarney playing a Paolo Soprani Jubilee accordion |

  Der HARMONIKAVERBAND ÖSTERREICHS entstand am 1. Jänner 1963 durch die Verschmelzung von zwei Verbänden, die im Jahre 1954 unabhängig voneinander gegründet wurden.Die Grund-Instrumente damals waren das Akkordeon und die Mundharmonika, die STEIRISCHE HARMONIKA war erstmals 1992 in einem Österreichischen Wettbewerb vertreten. Sie zählt in Österreich zu den populärsten Instrumenten der Volksmusik. Nachdem sie nach dem 2. Weltkrieg fast verschwunden war, erlebte die STEIRISCHE ein Comeback sondergleichen. Es gab in Österreich um 1960 nur mehr 2 Erzeuger, heute sind es an die 20! Im Jahre 1999 wurde der 1. Internationale Wettbewerb mit großem Erfolg in Außervillgraten (Osttirol) durchgeführt. 2001 folgte dann Schenkenfelden (Oberösterreich), wo bei der Abschlussveranstaltung ca. 3000 Besucher (!) gezählt wurden. 2003 veranstaltete nochmals Außervillgraten und 2005 war Saalfelden der Austragungsort. Beide Harmonika-Feste waren ein sehr großer Erfolg und banden die „Steirischen“ noch enger an den HVÖ. Der 5. Internationale Wettbewerb 2007 für die Steirische Harmonika in Sterzing/Südtirol war ebenfalls ein großes Fest. Auch die Südtiroler waren eingeladen, am nationalen Bewerb teilzunehmen und beteiligten sich rege. Die internationalen Gewinner waren Markus OBERLEITNER (Tirol) bei den Senioren und Michael RETTIG (Deutschland) bei den Junioren. Der 6. Internationale Wettbewerb 2009 in St. Kanzian/Kärnten sprengte alle bisherigen Dimensionen. Die internationalen Gewinner waren ein überragender Michael RETTIG (Deutschland) bei den Erwachsenen und Nejc Pačnik (Slowenien) bei den Junioren. Heute ist diese Veranstaltung, welche auch unter dem Namen „Harmonika-WM“ bekannt ist, ein fixer Bestandteil der Szene. Die ständig steigenden Teilnehmerzahlen beweisen den richtigen Weg. Da der HVÖ ein sehr anerkanntes Mitglied des Internationalen Verbandes C.I.A. (Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes) und der wiederum Mitglied des Internationalen Musikrates (IMC-UNESCO) ist, gehört unser Wettbewerb zu den voll anerkannten. Das können andere Anbieter von sog. Internationalen Wettbewerben nicht behaupten. Der HVÖ legt größten Wert auf die seriöse Abwicklung seiner Wettbewerbe, es kommen nur ausgesuchte und anerkannte Fachleute als Juroren zum Einsatz. Gleichzeitig findet immer auch der nationale Österreichische Wettbewerb statt, der ebenfalls ständig steigende Kandidatenzahlen verzeichnet. Der Internationale Wettbewerb (Harmonika-WM) findet alle zwei Jahre an unterschiedlichen Orten statt, seit 2007 auch im angrenzenden Ausland. Die dortigen Spieler sind berechtigt, auch am nationalen Wettbewerb teilzunehmen bzw. können in einem eigenen Bewerb antreten. Für 2011 hat sich die Gemeinde INZELL in Oberbayern (siehe oben) beworben, gleichzeitig findet auch der BAYERISCHE WETTBEWERB FÜR STEIRISCHE HARMONIKA statt! Siehe auch "Future Events" weiter unten. Der Harmonikaverband Österreichs freut sich sehr auf die Durchführung des Steirischen-Harmonika-Festes in dieser traditionsreichen und schönen Gegend. | The Tejano Conjunto/Norteño Music Convening to be held at South Texas College Mid-Valley Campus - A CROSS-BORDER EXAMINATION OF THE CURRENT RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE MUSIC STYLES Texas Folklife—a statewide organization dedicated to preserving and presenting the diverse cultures and living heritage of the Lone Star State—and the Border Studies Club of South Texas College, Mid-Valley Campus, will host a bi-national convening to examine the history and current state of Tejano Conjunto and Norteño music with an engaged group of musicians, scholars, cultural workers, media professionals and the public from both sides of the border. The convening, which is free and open to the public, will review the common history of these cultural markets, the way the musical styles have influenced each other over the years and are affected by economic forces, and highlight models where enthusiasts of both styles of music have been able to co-exist in harmony. The program includes music history lectures by renown ethnomusicologists: Dr. Manuel Peña (UC Fresno) on Tejano Conjunto music, Guillermo Berrones (Secretaria de Educación Pública, Monterrey) on Norteño music, and Dr. Cecilia Ballí (UT Austin) and Dr. Catherine Ragland (UT Pan American) on the recent developments of both styles of music. Musicians, promoters, media and recording professionals, cultural workers and academics will engage in panel discussions. Participating musicians include Ramiro Cavazos, Julian Garza “El Viejo Paulino,” Cirilo Luna “El Palomo,” Grammy Award-winning Joel Guzman, and more. Other confirmed participants include Francisco Ramos (Governor’s office of the State of Tamaulipas), Elsa Sanchez Sosa (Instituto Cultural Reynosense), Dr. Victor Aureliano Zuñiga (Universidad de Monterrey), Amancio J. Chapa (La Joya ISD), and Rogelio Nuñez (Narciso Martinez Cultural Arts Center). The program will naturally end with music by young band Conteño of Brownsville, featuring Juan Longoria Jr., winner of the first Big Squeeze More about Texas Folklife For 25 years, Texas Folklife has honored the authentic cultural traditions passed down within communities and explored their importance in contemporary society. Through performances, including prestigious concerts at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and the wildly popular annual Accordion Kings & Queens Festival in Houston; visually arresting exhibitions on subjects such as blues clubs in Houston, memory boxes made by children of Vietnamese immigrants, and West Texas ranch gates; outreach initiatives such as the Folk Arts in Education program; and collecting and archiving stories from Texas tradition bearers; Texas Folklife has fulfilled its mission in the last quarter century with great success. Die Bernerin hatte Mitte der neunziger Jahre durch ihre experimentelle Verbindung von Technoklängen und traditionellem Jodel den helvetischen Urgesang aus der volkstümlichen Genickstarre befreit und auf erfrischende Weise belebt. Der Zürcher Musiker spielt längst vergessene Volksmusikinstrumente wie Sackpfeife und Drehleier. Mit den Geschichten Jürg Steigmeiers harmoniert Lauterburgs und Marfurts unkonventioneller Zugang perfekt. Ihre musikalischen Miniaturen, die mittels Stimme und Instrumenten deutlich machen, wie stark Tradition und Experiment (oder Weiterentwicklung) doch zusammengehören.  Certains l’appellent le « chamane du Limousin », d’autres le prennent simplement pour un fou. Sauvage, Bernat Combi l’est certainement. Il joue pieds nus, saute ou se recroqueville, cheveux épars. Personnage à l’image de sa région natale, il réinterprète les chants et les poèmes de la Creuse et de la Corrèze, entre hurlements et murmures, chant et gémissements, bourdonnant et bouillonnant comme le chaudron qui lui sert d’instrument. Il puise force et sensibilité dans sa langue maternelle, l’occitan, qu'il donne à sentir de l'intérieur au fil d'une traduction poétique qui appelle au songe.Né dans une famille occitane où le français n'était que la seconde langue, Bernat Combi a d'abord abordé le rock avant de se tourner vers ses origines. Il vit aujourd'hui le plus loin possible de la civilisation moderne, rédigeant encore ses lettres à la main, comme pour rappeler le passé au présent et rester dans un temps « humain » où l'art des troubadours se mêle au blues, au son de l’accordéon et mais aussi au claquement des pierres, des cornes, des morceaux de bois et de tout ce qui, sous la main de l’homme, devient musique. | Fondato da Andrea Capezzuoli, organettista, compositore e arrangiatore attivo sulla scena milanese da più di quindici anni (din delòn, musicanta, la magiostra, picotage, terantiqua), coadiuvato dal sax di Luca Rampinini dalla chitarra di Mattia Ghion e dal violino di Marco Ghezzo, è un progetto poliedrico che spazia dalle danze folk europee alla musica del Québec, il Canada francofono (una sorta di melange tra il folk celtico-irlandese e la canzone francese d’origine brettone-vandeana). Il risultato è un cocktail esplosivo, festoso, conviviale: organetti, violino, sax, pianoforte, chitarra e voci accompagnati dal battere forsennato dei piedi, la percussione tipica che dona un tocco unico a questo sound. In occasioni di stage di danza e concerti “a ballo”, inoltre, sono integrati nel gruppo due “caller”, Ivano Capelli e Nicola Brighenti, i maestri di cerimonia che indicano le figure delle danze. Questa formazione ha già suonato in Italia, Germania, Belgio e in Francia con unanime consenso di critica e di pubblico (Leipzig, Rudolstadt, Bruxelles, Le Mans, Lyon, Mulhouse, Lavelfolk, Isolafolk, Appennino folkfest, Zingaria, Capodanze, Medtrad).  Vent negru" heisst im Valle Onsernone der Wind, der die graue Wolkendecke zur Seite schiebt und für mehrere Tage gutes Wetter bringt.VENT NEGRU steht auch für die Begegnung zweier Künstler verschiedener Herkunft: einer Städterin aus der Nordschweiz und eines Tessiners aus einer Bergbauernfamilie. Esther Rietschin, in Basel geboren, lernt schon als Kind neben der Blockflöte und Klavier auch Piccolo spielen und wird aktive Fasnächtlerin. Die Begeisterung für Musik und Bewegung lässt sie zuerst Gymnastiklehrerin, dann Lehrerin für musikalische Früherziehung werden. 1976 folgt eine Weiterbildung in Paris an der École Jacques Lecoq (mime-mouvement-théâtre) und 1979 eine dreijährige Ausbildung an der Scuola Teatro Dimitri in Verscio. Musik und Bewegung sind der beständige Faden ihres Werdeganges. Mauro Garbani, im Valle Onsernone aufgewachsen, kommt schon früh in Kontakt mit traditionellen Sängern und Musikern und ist mit dem südalpinen Repertoire vertraut. Ursprünglich Schreiner von Beruf, widmet er sich mehr und mehr der Musik und seinem Organetto. 1983 wird er Mitbegründer der Gruppe Mea d'Ora, die sich der Erforschung ihrer sozio-kulturellen und musikalischen Wurzeln verschreibt. Die beiden begegnen sich 1990 im Teatro Paravento in Locarno. Das gemeinsame Interesse für die von Generation zu Generation überlieferten Volksbräuche führt 1991 zur Gründung des Duos VENT NEGRU, welches weiterhin vor allem die südalpine Tradition pflegt. Alte Tanzmusik, Balladen und Lieder, die von Liebe und Auswanderung, Festen und Begebenheiten des Alltags erzählen, aber auch eigene und fremde Kompositionen bilden das Repertoire des Duos. Zum Einsatz gelangen ausser der Stimme akustische Instrumente wie etwa Akkordeon, Saxophon und Tessiner Dudelsack. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit wird der Musikästhetik gewidmet. Von der Vielfältigkeit der traditionellen Musik zeugen die vier Konzerte: "Musica dal Ticino e dintorni ..." (Musik aus dem Tessin und der Umgebung), "Riflessioni Musicali" (traditionelle, der Tradition folgende sakrale und klassische Musik, vereint in einer Art musikalischen Andacht), "Eternità d'Amûr" (zwölf von VENT NEGRU vertonte Gedichte von Fernando Grignola) und "Viaggio aBetlemme" (ein Weihnachtskonzert). Das Duo VENT NEGRU spielt und singt an verschiedensten Anlässen und Orten: auf dem Marktplatz, ebenso wie im Wohnzimmer, auf Theaterbühnen ebenso wie in Kapellen und Kirchen und in der freien Natur. | Dear folks - I have an old one-row box, tuned in D, possibly made by a German company named SCHULZ & GUNDLACH, from Berlin. That's the logo on the instrument, though it may be the logo of a retailer rather than the maker. The accordion is in very good shape, and may actually be as old as a hundred years! I bought it in a shop in Devon, England three years ago, and had it carefully restored by a great repairman from Odal, Norway; Willy Rustad. If anybody knows anything about this type of instrument, I would be very happy to be updated. Mr Rustad thought it might be as old as from the 1890s, but we don't know. The serial number is 733.
