 Länger als über ein ganzes Jahrhundert wurde von der Firma Hohner nahezu alles gesammelt, was für die Branche von Belang war. So entstand die weltweit einzigartige Sammlung Hohner mit heute ca. 25.000 verschiedenen Mundharmonikas, vielen Handzuginstrumenten sowie einem umfangreichen Bestand an branchen- geschichtlichen Dokumenten.Aufgrund ihres hohen Ensemblewertes und einiger ganz besonderer Einzelstücke wurde die Sammlung 1987 vom Land Baden-Württemberg angekauft und 1991 mit der Eröffnung des Harmonikamuseums der öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht. Besondere Beachtung verdienen neben den Instrumenten und Dokumenten auch die bunten Mundharmonika-Verpackungen. Kein anderes Industrieprodukt spiegelt den Zeitgeist so gut wider wie die Mundharmonika. Das Deutsche Harmo nikamuseum präsentiert Teile der Sammlung in seiner Dauerausstellung in Trossingen sowie in jährlichen Sonderausstellungen. Die ausgestellten Mund- und Ziehharmonikas vermitteln einen Eindruck von der Vielfalt dieser Instrumente. Mundharmonikadeckel und –etuis erzählen Geschichten über Krieg und Frieden, Fürsten und Politiker, Mode, Sport und Musik in vergangenen Jahrzehnten. Historische Werbeplakate und Prospekte dokumentieren die Geschichte der Branche sowie zeittypische Vermarktungsstrategien. Film- und Tondokumente geben einen Einblick in die Kulturgeschichte der Harmonika-Instrumente. Als Highlight ist das größte Knopfakkordeon der Welt zu sehen Dauerausstellung~ Frühgeschichte Die Reise durch die spannende Welt der Harmonikas beginnt mit den Vorläuferinstrumenten wie dem chinesischen Sheng, das im fernen Osten schon vor Jahrtausenden gespielt wurde und schon über das Harmonikaprinzip funktionierte: freischwingende, durch einen Luftstrom zum Klingen gebrachte Stimmzungen verfügte. Eine in Europa schon seit dem Mittelalter bekannte "Mundharmonika", die Maultrommel, enthält eine Stimmzunge, die angezupft wird. Hintergrund. Mund- und Ziehharmonika im eigentlichen Sinn entstanden in den 1820er Jahren in Wien und verbreiteten sich dann schnell in ganz Mitteleuropa. Viele Harmonikamacher begannen mit dem neuen Gewerbe. Im Laufe des 19. Jahrhunderts entwickelten sich die deutschen Orte Klingenthal (in Sachsen) und Trossingen (in Württemberg) zu den Weltzentren der Mundharmonikaindustrie Dauerausstellung~ Handzuginstrumente Anziehungspunkt im Handzuginstrumentenbereich ist das größte Knopfakkordeon der Welt, das zwei Instrumente in einem 1,23 m hohen Gehäuse vereint. Zahlreiche Handharmonikas, Akkordeons, Bandoneons und Konzertinas geben einen Einblick in die technische Vielfalt der Handzuginstrumente. Die weltweit wichtigsten Hersteller von Balginstrumenten werden anhand von Instrumenten und Werbemitteln aus dem 19. und 20. Jahrhundert vorgestellt.  The 17th Annual Ennis Trad Festival will take place this year from Thursday 11 to Monday 15, November 2010.The Ennis Trad Festival is a festival for those who love to hear (or play) Irish Traditional music of the highest quality in its most natural setting. The festival brings together the very best of Irish traditional musicians, singers and dancers in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Over 30 venues host selected exponents of the music, carefully mixed and matched to ensure an exciting variety of sessions. Spotlight concerts each night (Thursday to Monday) feature internationally renowned artists. There are many other events too, including CD launches, recitals, instrument and singing masterclasses, a spectacular céilí band competition with audience voting and set-dancing céilís.  Marc Pircher wurde die "Steirische Harmonika" quasi in die Wiege gelegt - sein Vater spielte ein wenig für den Hausgebrauch. Dieser war es auch, der Marc die ersten Lieder lehrte und dabei auch das musikalische Talent des Sohnes entdeckte. Marc nahm Unterricht in der Zillertaler Musikschule und holte sich dort das Rüstzeug für sein größtes Hobby - das Musizieren.2010: Im Januar erscheint das Album "Wer wenn nicht Du" - Präsentation von 3 Titel beim ORF "Wenn die Musi spielt - Winter Open Air" in Bad Kleinkirchheim. Das Titellied "Wer wenn nicht Du" (1. Single-Auskoppelung dieses Albums) erreicht Platz 1 in der "Musigtruch'n Hitparade von ORF Radio Tirol". In den "österr. Radio-Trend-Charts" erreicht Marc Pircher erstmals in seiner Karriere mit diesem Lied ebenfalls Platz 1. SENSATIONELL: Das Album "Wer wenn nicht Du" landet in der 1.  Jeffery Broussard was a leading member in Zydeco Force, an influential band at the forefront of the nouveau zydeco movement. His accordion and vocals defined this new style of Creole music, incorporating the soulful sounds of R&B into contemporary zydeco music and dance. The son of esteemed accordionist Delton Broussard, young Jeffery began his musical journey on the drums in his father’s legendary band, the Lawtell Playboys, who were themselves innovators, adding some R&B and a funkiness to this traditional roots music. During this time, Jeffery was exposed to some of the great Creole fiddle players, including the king of the zydeco fiddle, Calvin Carrière. He has retained those precious melodies and songs he heard at home, at social gatherings and on the bandstand. And with the creation of the Creole Cowboys, and as one of Louisiana’s newest Creole fiddle players, he captures the essence of this rich musical heritage. L'idea del progetto musicale Osteria del Fojonco nasce dalla confluenza di due esperienze legate aI recupero della tradizione popolare emiliana, quella dei Violini di Santa Vittoria, progetto di ricerca storico-musicologica che si e svlluppato prima in spettacolo musicale e successivamente in produzione discografica avente come punta di riferimento il fondo della Famiglia Bagnoli e quella di Riccardo Tesi, poliedrico musicista legato alle tradizioni musicali italiane e multietniche. In Osteria del Fojonco i Violini di Santa Vittoria e Riccardo Tesi, insieme al sassofonista Claudio Carboni, intendono proporre gli antichi brani del repertorio di Arnaldo Bagnoli in una veste nuova, piu contemporanea. L'intenzione del progetto e di continuare a percorrere la strada aperta dai Violini di Santa Vittoria attraverso la conoscenza del materiale della famiglia Bagnoli, con un atteggiamento creativo rivolto aI futuro e non solamente filologico.
