| Donauinselfest Wien v. 21-23. Juni 2013 - live music for free on 3 days full of activities. Am 22.6. 16:00-17:00 Franky Leitner - ein der Mann weiß, welche Knöpfe er wie zu drücken hat damit was g’scheites dabei rauskommt. Franky aus Bruck an der Mur hat sie wieder vor der Brust hängen, seine ‚Steirische Harmonika’ und ist damit zu seinen Wurzeln zurückgekehrt. Dorthin wo er bereits mit 11 Jahren deutlich aufgezeigt und aufgegeigt hat: Ein vom ORF ausgerichteter Harmonikawettbewerb auf der Grazer Messe war die erste Stufe am Siegertreppchen. Von da an ging es kontinierlich bergauf. Das Land Steiermark verlieh dem Musikus das Leistungsabzeichen in Gold, dann die bereits erwähnten Staatsmeistertitel und schließlich der Einstieg bei ‚Nordwand’. Jetzt ist er wieder solo unterwegs uns seine Stimmungsshows sind mittlerweile legendär – Franky Leitner, eine Stimmungskanone am Donauinselfest! | 23.Juni 19:15-20:45 20 Jahre Edlseer und das 30. Donauinselfest – diese Feste müssen zusammen gefeiert werden. Und mit den Edlseern ist das auch gar nicht schwer. Sie waren und sind in allen TV Shows zu Gast, egal ob „Musikantenstadl“ oder „Feste der Volksmusik“, sie haben die „Volkstümliche Hitparade“ und drei Mal die nationale Vorentscheidung des „Grand Prix der Volksmusik“ gewonnen. Man kann schon sagen – eine einzigartige Erfolgsgeschichte. Das Quartett ist sich in all den Jahren musikalisch immer treu geblieben und hat dadurch nichts an ihrem Erfolg verloren.  Roland organizza il V-Accordion Festival, 7° festival internazionale della fisarmonica digitale. Il concorso sarà suddiviso in due fasi, nazionale e internazionale – indette rispettivamente da Roland Italy SPA e Roland Europe SPA. E sarà proprio la finale nazionale a interessare Cetraro. L’evento si svolgerà il 23 giugno 2013, presso le grotte naturali situate nella zona portuale della cittadella costiera.La manifestazione voluta dal Maestro Antonio Spaccarotella – che tra l’altro promuoverà a Cetraro anche Master e corsi di alta formazione, rivolti a ragazzi e docenti operanti nel campo concertistico – vedrà la presenza di artisti di calibro internazionale, come: Pietro Adragna, (vincitore del campionato del mondo del 2011), Mirco Patarini, (anch’egli campione del mondo), Gianluca Bibiani, (Direttore della rivista Strumenti e Musica) e Marco Cinaglia (facente parte dello staff della Roland Europa SPA). Non mancheranno, poi, piccoli ma promettenti musicisti locali, quali i Guglielmi Brother, che si esibiranno per l’occasione sul prestigioso palco insieme ai loro colleghi già affermati. Si ricorda che, per accedere alle finali nazionali di Cetraro, i partecipanti hanno dovuto superare un’ulteriore selezione effettuata da una giuria qualificata, che ha valutato accuratamente una loro performance – video o audio – con programma libero ed eseguito con una V-Accordion o con una fisarmonica tradizionale – della durata massima di 5 minuti – e fatta pervenire alla Roland. Il vincitore della categoria Senior avrà la possibilità di prendere parte alla finale internazionale, prevista per il 18 e 19 ottobre 2013, al Parco della musica di Roma. Sempre per quanto riguarda la finale nazionale di Cetraro, fa sapere Roland: “I criteri di giudizio applicati saranno le capacità tecniche, le capacità interpretative, la creatività e l’originalità dell’esecuzione e l’abilità nello sfruttare le caratteristiche specifiche dello strumento V-Accordion”. Il vincitore si aggiudicherà un trofeo quale primo classificato e un modello di V-Accordion FR-8x, oltre al diritto di accedere alla finale internazionale a Parco della Musica nel mese di ottobre . |

| Homenaje a don Jacob Luque García – Primer importador en Valledupar de acordeones Hohner para sus almacenes La Paciencia y La Nueva Paciencia VALLEDUPAR – 19 al 22 de JUNIO de 2013 La Fundación REYES Y JUGLARES VALLENATOS convoca a los grupos o olistas folclóricos, populares, clásicos o de academia, de música, danza y / o teatro, cuyo epertorio tenga el acordeón como instrumento de ejecución central, al V ENCUENTRO MUNDIAL DE MÚSICAS DE ACORDEÓN. Podrán participar, por cuenta propia, los artistas plásticos y los artesanos cuyo trabajo tenga al acordeón como elemento esencial de su inspiración, labor u obra. Lugar y fecha de realización: la ciudad de Valledupar, capital del departamento del Cesar (Colombia), del 19 al 22 de junio de 2013. Los artistas cuya solicitud de admisión le sea aceptada deberán trasladarse hasta la ciudad de Valledupar (Colombia) por sus propios riesgos y medios. Su alojamiento, alimentación y raslados locales programados por el evento durante su permanencia en la ciudad de Valledupar estarán a cargo de la Fundación REYES Y JUGLARES VALLENATOS. | On Sunday July 7th, 4.30pm, in the Piazza della Repubblica, Castelfidardo, an attempt will be made to establish a new record for the most accordions playing together. The organizers need 1,200 accordionists to attend and play ‘Happy Birthday’, in celebration of the 150th anniversary of Paolo Soprani founding the accordion industry in the city in 1863. The organisers invite all accordionists to attend in time for the record attempt, which will begin at 4.30pm precisely. The numbers attending will be flashed up in the square. If attending, car drivers should park at Porta Marina or leave the car behind the walls at Scuole Medie or take the shuttle from the Vecchio Ospedale (Old Hospital). |

  Sie ist tonangebend, begleitet mit rhythmischen Basslinien und spielt die schönsten Melodien. Die Steirische Harmonika begeisterte auch diesmal beim internationalen Harmonika Grand Prix in Portorož/Slowenien. Organisiert wurde der Wettbewerb vom 3-fachen Welt-meister und H.V.Ö.- Repräsentanten Denis Novato. Dem Musikpädagogen ist es ein Anliegen, jungen Harmonikasolisten in Slowenien eine Plattform zu bieten, wie sie der „Tag der Harmonika“ in Österreich ist. Viele Harmonikasolisten, aufgeteilt in Altersklassen, alle zwischen 7 und 20 Jahren, forderten die jungen Talente aus Südtirol, Slowenien, Italien, Kroatien und Österreich zur harmonischen Konkurrenz heraus und traten zu einem friedlichen Wettstreit gegeneinander an. Die vielen Zuschauer im Saal machten sich durch Zwischenapplaus immer wieder bemerkbar. Dass jeder gerne gewinnen möchte ist klar, aber bei diesem Wettbewerb hatte man das Gefühl, dass wirklich die Besten nach Portoroz gekommen waren, um am internationalen Bewerb teilzunehmen. Zwei Tage lang war das Grand Hotel ein klingendes Haus. Das Niveau der Meisterschaft wurde als sehr hoch eingeschätzt. Neben der Technik und Melodieführung der rechten Hand wurde u.a. auch Ersteindruck, Schwierigkeitsgrad, Artikulation, Tempowahl, Balgtechnik, Rhythmus, Dynamik und die Anzahl der unterlaufenen Fehler gewertet. Einige Schüler von Denis Novato und Eduard Huber erspielten sich tolle Preise: Stefan Oberhofer (oben links mit Hubert Klausner), Dominik Innerkofler, Mattia Demetz (oben rechts), alle aus Südtirol, erreichten einen 1. Platz und Simon Oberhammer aus Südtirol erspielte sich einen 3. Platz. Tolle Ergebnisse erreichten auch die Steirer: Kategorie V: Elias Zeiler, 2. Platz A: Christopher Bracher, 1. Platz B: Tobias Bracher, 1. Platz, Davis Schneeberger, 2. Platz C: Christopher Uitz und Patrick Beichler, ex äquo 2. Platz D Duo: Bracher Buam, 1. Platz – 99 von 100 möglichen Punkten! Gottfried Hubmann Der Veranstalter Denis Novato hatte mich eingeladen, diesen Wettbewerb mitzuerleben und gleichzeitig die Räumlichkeiten auf ihre „Tauglichkeit für größere Aufgaben“ zu prüfen. Der Wettbewerb war sehr gut organisiert und sowohl das Grand Hotel als auch das gleich nebenan liegende Kongress-Zentrum erfüllen alle Kriterien für die Durchführung eines internationalen Wettbewerbes. Daher konnte ich in der letzten Vorstandssitzung des HVÖ den Vorschlag unterbreiten, Portorož für die nächste HARMONIKA-WM 2015 in Betracht zu ziehen! Der Vorschlag wurde angenommen und wir werden bald mit Denis Novato und den Organisatoren die Details abklären. Möglicherweise sehen wir uns im Frühjahr 2015 in Portorož wieder!  The bandoneon was featured at the 50th International Accordion Competition Klingenthal 2013 for the main opening concert. Then bandoneon soloist Juan José Mosalini from France performed the Tres Tangos by Astor Piazzola with chamber orchestra to a tremendous applause from the enthusiastic audience. Stefan Fraas conducted the Vogtland Philharmonie Geiz/Reichenback. The competition category for bandoneon was won by Jun Hayakawa (Japan).   Diatonisches Akkordeon für Anfänger/innen mit VorkenntnissenLeitung: Oliver Stoffregen Gemeinsam bauen wir unsere spielerischen Fähigkeiten aus. Neben der Festigung der Grundlagen werden Techniken zur Bearbeitung einfachster Stücke vermittelt: Melodieverzierungen, Balgarbeit und Begleitmöglichkeiten mit den Bässen. Die Stücke werden in Noten und Tabulatur ausgeteilt, es wird jedoch auch das im Folkbereich traditionelle Erlernen der Melodie nach Gehör geübt. Voraussetzungen: Grundfertigkeiten auf dem diatonischen Akkordeon. Diatonisches Akkordeon für Fortgeschrittene Leitung: Jan Budweis Einfache Tanzmelodien sind oft kurz und leben durch ständige Wiederholungen. Um sie beim Aufspielen zum Tanz abwechslungsreich und spannend zu gestalten, gibt es viele Möglichkeiten, die wir erlernen wollen: z.B. rhythmische Gestaltungsvarianten der rechten und linken Hand, das Akkordspiel auf der Diskantseite und Phrasierungs- und Verzierungstechniken. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt ist das Erarbeiten von Variationen bis hin zu kleinen Improvisationen. Ziel ist, dass Sie mit den erlernten Fertigkeiten kreativ und spielerisch umgehen können, wobei sich jede/r entsprechend ihren/seinen individuellen Möglichkeiten in das Zusammenspiel integrieren kann. | New ACCORDION weekend at Maine Fiddle Camp, June 21-23, 2013 Sabin Jacques, from Beaumont , Quebec (near Quebec City), is a member of the Quebecois band, Raz-de-Marée (Tidal Wave) along with Maine Fiddle Camp staff members Rachel Aucoin, Eric Favreau and Stuart Kenney. Sabin has been at camp a couple times as a camper accompanying his wife, Rachel, and their kids, Matthieu and Gabriel. He is a master of the Quebecois style button accordion and foot percussion! You might notice from the picture above he plays left handed. Since most button accordions are made for right handed players, he also plays the accordion “upside down”. (yes, Jimi Hendrix comparisons are valid here, both for left handedness AND virtuosity!!) If you like French Canadian music, note that the whole band, Raz-de-Marée, will be at camp for the June 21-23 weekend AND the previous week (June 16-21). Sabin has taught at festivals and camps all across North America and Europe and will be teaching accordion at both sessions. |

| The Celtic Fusion International Musical Arts Festival 2013 returns to Castlewellan in County Down, Northern Ireland for its twelfth incarnation. Celtic Fusion will take place over the weekend from Friday 28th until Sunday 30th June. This year the main event is launched on Friday 18th May at 8pm by a Celtic Fusion Showcase concert in the fabulous Lodge Cultural Centre with Breanndán Ó Beaghlaoich and Laoise Kelly supported by The Grainne Holland Band. The Festival weekend in June includes ‘Reel It In‘ and ‘Niamh Dunne‘ who will be launching her new CD on Friday 28th June. ’Frankie Gavin and the ‘New De Dannan‘ will be the main act for Saturday 29th. Sunday 30th will feature a host of fantastic acts from near and far, free to the public and outdoors, (weather permitting of course). With Celtic Fusion, you know that every event will be memorable and of the highest standard. So get ready for Castlewellan & Celtic Fusion 2013 and get your summer off to a flying start. As in previous years, the festival is run by the local community with support from Down District Council and although we encourage everyone to buy a ticket, there is much on offer for free! | 22. Juni 2013 | 11:00 – 19:00 Uhr Hauptplatz „Ein Tag für alle Volksmusikfreunde" Samstag, 22. Juni 2013 - Hauptplatz. Hauptplatz Leoben, Samstag, 22. Juni von 11:00 bis 19:00 Uhr bei freiem Eintritt, präsentiert von Citymanagement und Tourismusverband Leoben. Das gemeinsame Aufspielen wird übrigens auch diesmal nicht fehlen. Bei Schlechtwetter findet die Veranstaltung im Congress Leoben direkt am Hauptplatz statt. Alle Freunde der Volksmusik werden sich noch an die Harmonikatage erinnern, die von 1997 bis 2002 alljährlich zur Augustmitte in Leoben mit vielen Aktiven und tausenden Besuchern von nah und fern durchgeführt wurden. Grund genug, nach 10 Jahren Pause, diese Volkskulturveranstaltung wieder durchzuführen. Junge und reife Meister der Steirischen Harmonika werden am 22. Juni in Leoben auftreten. Gemeinsam mit Radio Steiermark werden die Gewinner der vergangenen ORF-Harmonikawettbewerbe auf die Leobener Hauptplatzbühne gebracht. Dazu kommen noch bekannte Volksmusikgruppen, Harmonika-Ensembles und die Harmonikaerzeuger unseres Landes als Aussteller. |
