 Some years have passed, since Hubert Gall decided to move to Las Vegas and to start his adventure with the most famous circus in the world – the „cirque du soleil“ created by Guy Laliberté who began his career as a fire-eater, juggler and accordionist in Montreal. In 1984 Guy Laliberté founded the Cirque du Soleil thanks to the great friendship with a billionaire, met during a trip to Las Vegas, who decided to fully finance the project Laliberté. Today the company is considered the world's most important in the entertainment industry and has approximately 4,000 employees. Laliberte is also considered one of the most eccentric and extravagant environment because of some special events in his life, most notably his climb that led him to fire eater beggar to millionaire permanently inscribed on the Forbes list of the men most the world's richest. Hubert Gall is collaborating with this important show since many years, performing his accordions, acoustic, digital and diatonic every evening in front of approx. 4000 people, who come to watch the show running since 12 years, known as “KA” at the magnific MGM in Las Vegas! I had the pleasure of meeting Hubert Gall personally last week and viewing the show as well as looking “behind the scene”! | The Sata-Häme Soi Accordion Festival, incorporating the Primus Ikaalinen 2015 competition, takes place until July 5th 2015. Competitions: The Golden Accordion (senior), The Silver Accordion (junior), and The Finnish Accordion Folk Musician Championships for Chromatic and Diatonic Accordions. The idyllic centre of Old Town Ikaalinen is the centre of the large scale Sata-Häme Soi Accordion Festival, and music is in the air in the Festival Park and in the concert venues for a week. | 5° Premio ETNIE MUSICALI Concorso Internazionale di gruppi Folk 1)La manifestazione si svolgerà all’interno degli appuntamenti del II° Festival del Saltarello e vi potranno prendere parte i gruppi di qualsiasi nazione e con strumenti di qualsiasi tipo e marca, elettrici e acustici.. 2)Il Concorso si articolerà nell’unica Sezione GRUPPI FOLK “Premio Internazionale ETNIE MUSICALI “ I gruppi dovranno essere composti da un minimo di due elementi fino a un massimo non definito. 3)Il Concorso si articolerà nella seguente modalità: a)Le selezioni si svolgeranno in tutte le tappe del Festival, alle quali si può partecipare ad una sola o a tutte le tappe. I gruppi che passeranno le selezioni, parteciperanno al Premio Finale ETNIE MUSICALI, che si svolgerà il 29 agosto 2015 a Pagliaroli di Cortino (TE). b)Le selezioni del Premio ETNIE MUSICALI si svolgeranno tutte nella Provincia di Teramo (Abruzzo) nei seguenti luoghi e date: 1-2 agosto Controguerra (TE) 8-9 agosto Caprafico (TE) 12-13 agosto Macchia Da Sole (TE) 14-15 agosto Colonnella (TE) 21-22 agosto Ornano (TE) 23 agosto Colleatterrato (TE) 28 agosto Pagliaroli di Cortino (TE) c)A selezionare i gruppi per l’accesso alla fase finale sarà una giuria popolare mediante schede di voto distribuite durante tutti gli appuntamenti del Festival – Concorso. I voti saranno cumulativi. Ad ogni tappa del Festival verranno resi noti i risultati dei conteggi delle schede. I risultati parziali e finali verranno pubblicati sulla pagina facebook del Festival del Saltarello. Nell’ultima tappa del Festival del 28 agosto a Pagliaroli di Cortino (TE), verranno resi noti i punteggi finali e verranno decretati i 10 gruppi che parteciperanno al 5° Premio ETNIE MUSICALI che si terrà il giorno successivo, il 29 agosto, sempre a Pagliaroli. d)Il conteggio dei voti tramite schede della giuria popolare avverrà in maniera pubblica e il verdetto sarà inappellabile. e)Per le Selezioni del Premio le esibizioni dei gruppi si svolgeranno la mattina (dalle 10 alle 13) e il pomeriggio (dalle ore 16), all’interno dei borghi, delle vie e sui palchi dei paesi che ospitano il Festival, come gruppi itineranti o con postazioni fisse; nel pomeriggio i gruppi si esibiranno sul palco e dovranno effettuare una performance della durata non inferiore a 30 (trenta) minuti e non oltre i 45 (quarantacinque) minuti. L’ esibizione del pomeriggio è obbligatoria, l’esibizione della mattina è facoltativa. f)Per il 5°Premio Finale ETNIE MUSICALI il 29 agosto 2015 a Pagliaroli di Cortino (TE), i gruppi si esibiranno solo sul palco in un’unica prova della durata non inferiore a 30 (trenta) minuti e non oltre i 45 (quarantacinque) minuti. A giudicare i 10 gruppi finalisti sarà una giuria tecnica di esperti. g)Il giudizio della giuria è insindacabile e si riserva di non assegnare i premi qualora non si riscontrassero i requisiti necessari. h)Il repertorio da presentare potrà essere a libera scelta comprendente arrangiamenti ed elaborazione di brani tratti dal repertorio world music, etnico, folk tradizionale. Sono ammesse anche composizioni originali ispirate dalla musica etnica/folk. Una parte del repertorio dovrà essere dedicata al Saltarello di qualsiasi origine o regione (minimo 1 brano). i)Il giudizio della giuria sarà espresso da 18 a 25. Il punteggio più alto decreterà il Primo Premio Assoluto. j)I gruppi, per garantirsi una migliore performance, dovranno spedire all’organizzazione entro e non oltre il 25 luglio 2015, una scheda tecnica dettagliata e l’iscrizione al contest. 7)PREMI SPECIALI: PREMIO CAV. | Gooikoorts is een internationaal volksmuziekfestival dat ieder jaar muziek brengt op het raakvlak van traditionele en vernieuwende volksmuziek. De organisatie zorgt niet alleen voor een kwalitatief sterk programma maar streeft ook naar gezelligheid en een aangename sfeer. Het festival neemt de volksmuziekliefhebber mee op een reis vol nieuwe ervaringen. De nadruk ligt zowel op jong aanstormend talent als op gevestigde waarden uit het binnen -en buitenland. Gooikoorts wil enerzijds bezoekers aantrekken die willen en kunnen genieten van prachtige concerten en unieke balavonden, anderzijds is het ook een familiefestival. De ontspannen muzikale omgeving is de ideale plaats om vrienden en kennissen te ontmoeten en andere mensen te leren kennen. De internationale markt voor instrumentenbouwers is voor de volksmuzikant een heiligdom en de kinderen hebben hun vaste stek bij de kinderanimatie. Tijdens het festival worden ook verschillende workshops en intiaties aangeboden. | The Music School Villa Marinšek and the Tourist Association Postojna Postojna Cave organize the Accordion Competition CUP Postojna Cave taking place in the caves on Sunday, July 5, beginning at 10 am on the main stage. Contestants must present 1 piece played with the diatonic, chromatic or piano accordion. Categories are devided in: - Up to 11 years - 12 to 18 years - Over 18 years. Applications for the contest are possible at the following address: vili.marinsek @ gmail.com (mandatory contents of the application: name, surname, address, date and year of birth, and song title) or one hour before the start of the competition at the venue. In the case of a larger number of competitors will be considered only preliminary notification by e-mail. There is no application! An expert jury will evaluate the performance, complexity, dynamics and technical implementation of the tracks. After the competition will be declared the winner and awarded the following prizes: - Trophy for the best in each of the three categories - Trophy for best folk musicians and. The Festival’s mission is to provide a venue where the role of the accordion in the development of our Province’s folk music can be celebrated and to ensure that the tradition of the accordion can be kept alive. This is achieved by bringing accordion players and lovers of accordion music together in a setting where the accordion has always been the instrument of choice. SAN CESARIO DI LECCE, Centro Polifuzionale STAGE DI ORGANETTO DIATONICO condotto da RICCARDO TESI Sabato 18 Luglio ore 16.30 - 20.30 Domenica 19 Lugio ore 9.30 - 13.30 Seconda tappa a Lecce della rassegna Organetti Periferici, totalmente dedicata alla divulgazione artistica e accademica dell’organetto diatonico, attraverso l’incontro con strumentisti provenienti da diverse aree geografiche e musicali. Nata da un'idea di Alessandro D’Alessandro, che insieme al Circolo G.Bosio e all’OrchestraBottoni, ha dato il via alla prima edizione in svolgimento a Roma da novembre scorso. La seconda tappa di Lecce, organizzata da Claudio Prima in collaborazione con il Comune di San Cesario e la Cooperativa Coolclub, è affidata all'esperienza di Riccardo Tesi, straordinario organettista e compositore, che ha svolto il ruolo di precursore del movimento di riscoperta dell'organetto in Italia. Il suo stage si terrà nei giorni 18 e 19 Luglio 2015 presso il Centro Polifunzionale in viale Unità d'Italia a San Cesario di Lecce e intende offrire un panorama dei vari aspetti che caratterizzano la pratica odierna dell’organetto diatonico. Attraverso l’apprendimento di brani, sia tradizionali che originali, verranno presi in esame problemi di natura tecnica (uso del mantice, tecnica lineare ed incrociata, diteggiatura, coordinazione), di natura interpretativa (ornamentazione, espressione , staccato e legato). Ampio spazio sarà dedicato all’aspetto armonico e compositivo dello strumento e al suo utilizzo in contesti non tradizionali. Lo stage è indirizzato a tutti. Non è richiesta la conoscenza della teoria musicale. Modello consigliato: otto bassi in SOL/DO o i modelli superiori. Meglio se dotati di apparecchiature per registrare. RICCARDO TESI Compositore, strumentista, ricercatore: queste le anime della complessa e poliedrica personalità artistica di Riccardo Tesi, autentico pioniere dell’etnica in Italia. Dagli esordi decisamente folk nel 1978 al fianco di Caterina Bueno, alle odierne collaborazioni, la storia musicale del pistoiese Tesi vive di una preziosa continuità fatta di passione e di curiosità onnivore, che dalla tradizione toscana lo ha accompagnato al confronto con quelle italiane, basche, inglesi, francesi e malgasce, con il jazz, il liscio e la canzone d’autore. In perfetta simbiosi con la sua poetica della memoria, il suo strumento: l’organetto diatonico, antenato della fisarmonica, al quale per primo in Italia, ha consacrato un intero disco intitolato “Il ballo della lepre” (1981). | LECCE, TEATRO ROMANO 26 Luglio 2015 ore 20.45 Presentazione del primo cd della GIOVANE ORCHESTRA DEL SALENTO dal titolo ESSERE TERRA Si terrà nella splendida cornice del Teatro Romano di Lecce il 26 Luglio 2015 la presentazione del primo lavoro discografico della Giovane Orchestra del Salento dal titolo Essera terra. Il cd contiene 14 brani inediti nei testi e nelle musiche, realizzati negli ultimi 4 anni da questo originale gruppo di circa 50 giovani musicisti salentini guidati da Claudio Prima ed Emanuele Coluccia. La musica della Giovane Orchestra è energica e originale, mescola in maniera ardita generi musicali diversi (reggae, rock, classica, popolare) e rappresenta il talento generato in questi anni dal fermento musicale che il Salento ha vissuto. Più di 120 ragazzi coinvolti negli ultimi anni, la realizzazione di un documentario, numerosi concerti in Salento e in festival nazionali (Milano, Civitanova Marche) e finalmente la produzione di un cd dimostrano il valore della musica scritta e pensata insieme ai ragazzi. Il concerto della Giovane Orchestra del Salento muove, coinvolge, emoziona ed è un'iniezione di energia pura, divertente e fresca come la forza dei giovani che ne sono protagonisti. Brani come Essere terra che da il titolo al disco o come A testa in giù, Semplice, In cammino raccontano nei testi e nelle musiche un nuovo modo di fare musica insieme, libero da ogni schema preesistente. La musica suonata dai ragazzi è il frutto di un processo orientato e inclusivo, dedito all'integrazione e all'arte dell'incontro. Il cd è impreziosito dalla presenza di Serena Abrami (X Factor, Sanremo). La cantautrice marchigiana, già interprete di Niccolò Fabi e Ivano Fossati, presta la sua voce per un brano originale dai titolo Chiedimi ancora. La Giovane Orchestra del Salento è la dimostrazione che la musica si trasforma e cresce insieme a chi la fa. Ad aprire il concerto il trio dei Bija (Francesco Pellizzari, Marco Puzzello e Gabriele Di Franco) avvicendatisi anche loro all'interno della Giovane Orchestra. La band ha ottenuto numerosi riconoscimenti in campo nazionale e ha da poco pubblicato il proprio cd prodotto dall'etichetta inglese Slam Prodctions. L'evento del 26 Luglio è organizzato in collaborazione con l'Accademia del Rinascimento Mediterraneo e si inserisce all'interno della Rassegna Estiva Lecc'è del Comune di Lecce. | These videos have just been publicly released by Dan Grauman for the 4 year anniversary of the concert which was filmed by Dan Grauman in 2011. Joan Grauman writes: "I had to pinch myself often. Were we really here in this picture-perfect place with the spectacular views of the Italian countryside and the Adriatic Sea? Were we really walking up the hill on that gorgeous warm evening, past the incredible fragrances from the Linden blossoms and the jasmine up to that spectacular old church where Frank and Daniele were preparing to perform for us? I looked behind me and saw so many of my close friends following us up the hill. This was the greatest trip of my life. I made myself live it in slow motion so that I would appreciate every single minute. This concert was just about as perfect as it gets. Daniele and Frank had just recorded their premiere CD, “Two For the Road” and this was going to be their CD release concert. It would be held on the first day of our accordion orchestra camp, named for the camp my husband and I directed for Frank Marocco in Arizona. This one was called, “Frank Marocco Accordion Event, European Edition”. As we were walking out of the Hotel Parco, my husband Dan grabbed his video camera. He would tape, if the musicians were OK with it. Thankfully, they were. These two musical giants played with such warmth and talent – a night none of us will ever forget. Frank Marocco was just beginning to feel the effects of the metal poisoning that would take his life exactly nine months later. We were so fortunate to be with him that week in Castelfidardo. It was pure magic from start to finish. He loved being with all of us, and we loved being with him. We still miss him so much." |

| 5 al Tango" ist nicht nur das fünfte und aktuellste Album - es stellt auch einen Querschnitt dar durch die mittlerweile 13jährige Geschichte des "Quinteto Ángel" und enthält neben zahlreichen neuen Arrangements auch einige langjährige, bisher unveröffentlichte Lieblingstitel. Es gibt nur wenige Gruppen, die sich über so viele Jahre kontinuierlich und so intensiv mit dem argentinischen Tango auseinandergesetzt haben und das mit stets gleichbleibender Frische, Energie und Begeisterung für die Musik.
