Brasil inaugura sua primeira Escola de Acordeon Diatônico de 8 Baixos com o objetivo de resgatar o instrumento e revelar novos talentos
Localizada na cidade de Caruaru, região Nordeste do Brasil, a escola atenderá gratuitamente crianças e jovens carentes, que aprenderão com o mestre Heleno dos 8 Baixos a arte de um instrumento que corria o risco de desaparecer

Neste mês de março foi inaugurada, na cidade de Caruaru, a primeira escola dedicada ao ensino do acordeon diatônico de 8 baixos (também conhecido como sanfona ou fole de 8 baixos), instrumento que faz parte da identidade cultural da região nordeste do Brasil e que vinha correndo o risco de sumir, pela falta de músicos e platéias.
O ponto de partida para a criação da Escola de Sanfona de 8 Baixos de Caruaru foi a necessidade de resgatar um instrumento musical tradicional que vinha deixando de fazer parte da vida das pessoas da região, especialmente das novas gerações. A esse objetivo juntou-se outro, tão ou mais relevante: por meio da música, contribuir para que crianças e adolescentes possam assumir o papel de agentes de transformação da realidade e protagonistas de suas vidas.
A escola funcionará nas mesmas instalações do Projeto de Iniciação Musical Jacinto Silva, que oferece aulas práticas e teóricas de diversos instrumentos para crianças e adolescentes, com base em um repertório em que predomina a música popular nordestina, especialmente o forró. Criada em 2002 pelos músicos Valdir Santos e Marconiel Rocha, o projeto atende hoje a cerca de 100 alunos, aos quais se somarão os 10 da primeira turma da Escola de Sanfona de 8 Baixos. “Já descobrimos grandes talentos na percussão, agora é a vez da sanfona, que é o instrumento de harmonia que estava faltando”, diz Santos.
Um olhar mais moderno para o instrumento
A missão de formar uma nova geração de sanfoneiros ficou a cargo de um dos grandes representantes do instrumento na atualidade: Heleno dos 8 Baixos. Nascido em Caruaru e indicado ao Grammy em 1991, Heleno já fez shows em diversos países e viaja anualmente em turnê pela França divulgando os ritmos do forró pela Europa. “A sanfona de 8 baixos continua bem viva em diversos países, mas aqui no Brasil – e o mais triste, em Caruaru, minha cidade natal – ela está sumindo”, diz o músico. “É isso que queremos mudar”.
Ao lado do diretor artístico Valdir Santos e do mestre Heleno dos 8 Baixos, o grupo envolvido na criação da escola se completa com o idealizador e mantenedor João Bento. Profissional da área de comunicação e entusiasta da cultura popular, João decidiu investir na criação da escola por considerá-la uma oportunidade de resgatar uma parte importante da identidade brasileira.
Caruaru, capital brasileira do forró
O acordeon diatônico de 8 baixos é um instrumento que está na origem dos ritmos do forró, gênero musical que por sua vez tem destaque na cultura popular brasileira, especialmente em função da tradição das festas juninas. O forró reúne um conjunto de ritmos (baião, xote, xaxado, coco, quadrilha, ciranda, entre outros) que tiveram origem em diversas regiões do Nordeste brasileiro, por influência de imigrantes europeus e herança africana.
Por sua vez, a cidade de Caruaru foi uma escolha natural para sediar a Escola de Sanfona de 8 Baixos. Localizada no agreste do estado de Pernambuco, é conhecida no mundo, entre outras coisas, por ser a terra do Mestre Vitalino e por abrigar o maior centro de arte figurativa das Américas, reconhecimento concedido pela Unesco.

The first school dedicated to teaching 8-bass diatonic button accordion (also known as 8-bass sanfona or fole [bellows]), an instrument that is part of the cultural identity of the Northeastern region of Brazil and was in risk of disappearing due to the lack of musicians and public, was inaugurated in this month of March, in the city of Caruaru.
The starting point for the creation of Escola de Sanfona de 8 Baixos de Caruaru was the need to rescue a traditional music instrument that was declining in popularity in the lives of the people of the region, especially from new generations. Another objective, just as or more relevant, was set: through music, contribute for children and teenagers to be able to assume the role of changing agents of reality and protagonists of their lives.
The school will run in the same facilities as the Jacinto Silva Musical Initiation Project, which offers practical and theoretical classes for several instruments to children and teenagers, based on a repertory in which the popular northeastern music is predominant, especially the forró. A more contemporary look at the instrument
The mission of forming a new generation of sanfoneiros [accordionists] remained under the responsibility of one of the currently greatest representatives of the instrument: Heleno dos 8 Baixos. Born in Caruaru and indicated for the Grammy in 1991, Heleno has already made shows in several countries and travels annually in a tour through France divulging the rhythms of forró throughout Europe. “The 8-bass sanfona is still very alive in various countries, but here in Brazil – and mostly sad, in Caruaru, my native city – it is disappearing”, says the musician. “That’s what we want to change”.
Together with the artistic director Valdir Santos and mestre Heleno dos 8 Baixos, the group involved in creating the school is completed with the idealizer and maintainer João Bento. Professional from the communications area and an enthusiast of the popular culture, João decided to invest in creating the school for considering it an opportunity of rescuing an important part of the Brazilian identity.
Caruaru, Brazilian capital of forró
The 8-bass diatonic button accordion is an instrument found in the origin of the forró rhythms, musical genre which has its highlight in the Brazilian popular culture, especially in function of the tradition of the “Festa Junina” [June Festival]. Forró gathers a set of rhythms (baião, xote, xaxado, coco, quadrilha, ciranda, among others) which had their origin in various regions of the Brazilian Northeast, influenced by European immigrants and African heritage.
In its turn, the city of Caruaru was a natural choice to shelter the Escola de Sanfona de 8 Baixos. Located in the rural area of the state of Pernambuco, it is known in the world, besides others, for being the land of Mestre Vitalino and for sheltering the largest figurative arts center in the Americas, recognized by Unesco.

Ottimo successo al concorso internazionale Premio Città di Greci per gli allievi della classe di fisarmonica diatonica dell’Accademia Voglia D’Arte diretta dal M° Antonio Spaccarotella , ricordiamo lo straordinario risultato di Guglielmi Alessandro classificatosi al primo posto assoluto su tutte le categorie con il punteggio massimo di 100/100 alla competizione presenti oltre a 100 partecipanti provenienti dalle scuole più importanti d’Italia, lo straordinario risultato è dato anche dal fatto che il piccolo partecipante ha sorpreso tutti con il suo notevole talento nonché dalla sua età di 9 anni gareggiando nella categoria unica organetto 8 bassi , presentando un programma complesso con brani di Riccardo Tesi ed arrangiamenti originali .
Da gennaio 2010 il piccolo Alessandro ha cominciato un importante percorso di formazione presso il Conservatorio di Alta formazione Musicale P.I.Tchaikovsky di Nocera Torinese (CZ) dove studia sotto la guida di Danilo di Paolonicola ed Antonio Spaccarotella nella classe del triennio sperimentale di fisarmonica diatonica, istituita da pochissimo tempo ma che sta riscuotendo notevole successo in tutto il sud Italia e che mira a creare un vero e proprio polo d’eccellenza della fisarmonica diatonica (Organetto) del sud.

Trikitixa - Basque accordion - Spain

Trikitixa meaning hand-sound in Basque is the traditional Basque accordion. It arrived in the Basque Country from Italy through the port of Bilbao in the 19th century, and soon became a common sight at Basque festivals. "Flo"Florian Fesl auf Tour im April - Deutschland

Seit der letzten Staffel der beliebten ARD-Show "Immer wieder Sonntags" ist das Motto: "Hier kommt der Junge mit der Ziehharmonika"! Und wenn der 20-jährige Musikus aus Freyung im bayerischen Wald mit seiner "Quetschn" (auch steirische Harmonika genannt..) und frischem Gesang loslegt ist Spass und gute Laune vorprogrammiert. "Flo" schaffte es, mit seinem Ohrwurm "Sommer ohne Ende" zehn Wochen in Folge auf den Siegerthron der Sommerhitparade zu sein.
Am 13. März war Florian Fesl zu Gast beim "Musikantenstadl" und ist im April auf dem LadinerFest, wohin alljährlich tausende Fans der volkstümlichen Musik nach Südtirol kommen um die einzigartige Landschaft und die herzergreifende Musik der Ladiner zu erleben.

The Museum contains a large number of accordions which range from 1838 to 1950, mostly from 1880 until 1930. Not only foreign accordions are displayed, but also some accordions from the 2 danish accordian makers: Ivar Bodin og Aage Gram.
The exhibition presents more than 700 accordions, harmonikas, bandonions, bandonika og concertina.

Goran Bregovic describes himself simply as contemporary composer. Why then does his "contemporary" sound different from music of other contemporary composers? Because Goran is from the Balkans. And in the Balkans "contemporary" is different.
What does his orchestra for Weddings and Funerals composed of a gypsy brass band, traditional Bulgarian polyphonies, an electric guitar, traditional percussion, strings and Orthodox Church male singers, read on Bregovics score sheets? Echoes from Jewish and Gypsy weddings, chants from Orthodox and Catholic Church, Muslim invocations. His music comes from that terrible frontier where for centuries Catholics, Orthodox Christians and Muslims made war and lived together. Music that our soul recognises instinctively and the body greets with an irresistible urge to dance.
Born in Sarajevo of a Serbian mother and a Croatian father. After a few years of (very unenthusiastic) music studies at the conservatory (violin), Goran forms his first group "The White Button" at the age of sixteen. Composer and guitar player ("I chose the guitar because guitar players always have most success with girls"), he admits his immoderate love for rock n'roll. "In those times, Rock had a capital role in our lives. It was the only way we could make our voice heard, and publicly express our discontent without risking jail (or just...)
At the end of the eighties BREGOVIC takes time away from this permanent hustle-bustle to compose music for Kusturica's "Times of the Gypsies", and to make his childhood dream come true: to live in a small house on an island in the Adriatic. Begriffsverwirrungen für die Steirische Harmonika - Austria

Aus gegebenem Anlass möchte ich mich einer Thematik widmen, die immer wieder ein Chaos bei der Einstufung der Wettbewerbsstücke für den Harmonikaverband Österreich verursacht. Nämlich, die Bassbezeichnung in Griffschrift für die Steirische Harmonika.
Bei der Begutachtung der Pflichtstücke und Wahlstücke bin ich immer wieder mit dem Problem konfrontiert, die Buchstabenbezeichnung mit den tatsächlichen Bass- und Akkordtönen der Klangschrift zu identifizieren. (Meist fehlen die dazugehörenden Legenden.) So ist es oft nicht möglich, festzustellen, ob das Geschriebene mit der korrekten Harmonie des Stückes übereinstimmt.

Daher will ich nun einige Varianten von Bassbezeichnungen der Steirischen Harmonika aufzeigen.

a) Als erstes Beispiel möchte ich die Bezeichnung nach Max Rosenzopf anführen, der für die 1.Reihe (äußere Diskantreihe) für den Bass die Buchstaben
A, a,
B, b, 2.Bassreihe: D, d, (Balgseite)
C, c, 2.Bassreihe: G, g,
4rhg: F,f, E, e, (oder H,h,)
verwendet.
Beim vierreihigen Modell kommt noch eine 2.Variante hinzu, bei der die Bezeichnung D,d, noch mit dem E,e-Bass vertauscht werden kann. Auch unterschiedliche Harmoniefunktionen können laut Spielanleitung hinzukommen.
Nach Rosenzopf hat sich die Bauweise so etabliert, dass auf der 2.Bassreihe für die 2.Tonart auf Druck die Terz in Dur und auf Zug in Moll erklingt.
Für die 3.Diskanttonart erklingt auf der 2.Bassreihe der Terzbass auf Druck, ebenfalls in Dur, u. auf Zug in der Subdominante.
Manche Instrumentenbauer bauen statt Vorgenanntem auch auf Zug in Moll ein.
Diese Unterschiede sind aber in der Griffschriftbezeichnung nie erkennbar und es ist somit auch nicht feststellbar, ob gegebene Passage harmonisch richtig erklingt.

b) Als weiteres Beispiel wäre die Bezeichnung von Florian Michlbauer, der wie folgt die Bassbezeichnung vornimmt, zu nennen.

Er verwendet noch als weitere Spezifikation das Moll-System auf Zug für die 2.u.3. Diskant-Reihe auf der 2.Bassreihe.

c) Das nächste Beispiel wäre die Notation von Gottfried Kletzmair.
Er bedient sich des Quintenzirkels und verwendet diesen auf Druck und Zug gleich, wobei die harmoniegerechte Funktion auch nicht gegeben ist.

d) Cornelia Schaborak u Hans Auer wiederum schreiben den Bass nach dem Alphabet nieder und geben bei der 2.Bassreihe ein Apostroph dazu. Auch hier kann man keine Harmonieform erkennen.

e) Hermann Huber verwendet auch noch einen Bass „O“, der als Wechselbass für die 1.Reihe gespielt wird. Auf der 2.Bassreihe wird dieser Zusatzbass mit „O´“ bezeichnet. Zusätzlich unterscheidet sich die Anordnung noch dadurch, dass beim Hubermodell auf Druck die Mollbässe mit den Mollakkorden erklingen.

f) Als weiteres Kuriosum konnte ich bei der Durchsicht der Noten eine Bassbezeichnung, wie folgt, von Erich Pauli entdecken.
Er bezeichnet die Bässe mit einem „2er“ für die 2.Bassreihe.

g) Karl Kiermaier und Egon Spengler schreiben die Bässe und Akkorde wie nachstehend nieder.

Dies sind einige Beispiele, die keine befriedigende Lösung in der Bassbezeichnung darstellen.

So konnte ich auch bei den Wertungsspielen oft andere Töne hören als die Bassbezeichnung anzeigte, die anscheinend durch einen gewünschten Umbau des Instruments, speziell für den jeweiligen Spieler, vorgenommen wurden.
Auch die Notation der Diskanttöne hat bereits schon viele verschiedene Formen für das Griffschriftbild angenommen und führt zu Unübersichtlichkeiten.
Kompliziert wird die Sache dann, wenn mehrere Töne auf der gleichen Linie notiert werden müssen. Da schaut die Angelegenheit aber schon sehr unübersichtlich aus. Den Akkorden kann man nicht auf Anhieb folgen.
Diesem Thema möchte ich mich aber in einem nächsten Bericht widmen.

Resümee: Würde man nach dem Violinschlüssel und Bassschlüssel, dessen Verfechter ich bin, das Instrument erlernen, hätte man all diese Irritationen der Notation aus der Welt geschafft.

Nach all diesen verschiedenen Notationen wäre es sinnvoll, wenn sich vorgenannte Autoren zusammensetzen und eine einheitliche Notation für die Zukunft anstreben würden.

Alain Pennec découvre l'accordéon diatonique en 1978. Entre 1980 et 1989 avec Tammles, l'une des formations les plus appréciées du milieu fest-noz , il contribue à cette renaissance de la musique traditionnelle bretonne grâce à des répertoires évoluant du folk très traditionnel vers des interprétations plus électriques puis électroniques avant de revenir à des musiques bien plus acoustiques.
Depuis 1990, Alain Pennec mène avec succès croissant des expériences très différentes parfois en solo, parfois en duo avec la conteuse Gigi Bigot, le chanteur Rol.Brou, Youenn Landreau , Sébastien Bertrand ou encore avec Hirio et plus récemment avec les Quatre Jean, Roquio, son Quartet , Denez Prigent ou Sloï groupe de musiques maraîchines.

Pflanzplätz - tradition./moderne Schweizer Volksmusik - Schweiz

Pflanzplätz spielt einen Mix aus traditioneller und moderner Schweizer Volksmusik, wobei auch ausländischer Folk nicht zu kurz kommt. Alles wird mit einem Schuss Improvisation angereichert. Dominierend ist das Schwyzerörgeli und der Kontrabass. Andere Instrumente wie Gitarre, Perkussion, Trümpi, Harmonium oder Gesang werden aber auch ab und zu eingesetzt.
Den drei Musikanten ist es wichtig, jedem Stück den eigenen Stil zu verleihen, der sich von der heute gängigen "Örgelimusig" unterscheiden soll.
Mit Experimentier- und Spielfreude, speziellen Eigenkompositionen sowie Einbezug stilfremder Elemente wird diese Eigenständigkeit noch zusätzlich gefördert. Sehr gerne musizieren die drei Pflanzplätzler mit anderen Musikern, zum Teil auch aus anderen Stilrichtungen zusammen.

Баян, аккордеон и гармоника всегда были любимы и популярны в России. И на фронтах ВОВ, и в праздничных и свадебных застольях это были незаменимые спутники нашего быта. Новый импульс был придан народным инструментам в 1948 г., когда впервые в мире в ГМПИ (ныне РАМ) им. Гнесиных был открыт одноимённый факультет.
Музыканты-народники стали получать высшее образование наравне с пианистами и скрипачами. С тех пор аналогичные кафедры и факультеты были открыты во всех консерваториях страны (кроме Московской), а баянисты и аккордеонисты заняли лидирующее положение в мире, побеждая на всех престижных международных конкурсах. Сегодня для нас пишут крупнейшие композиторы России: С. Губайдулина, А. Холминов, Р. Леденёв, Е. Подгайц, М. Броннер, А. Журбин и многие другие. Наши инструменты соло, в ансамблях и с оркестрами звучат в крупнейших залах мира.
Однако сегодня мы во многом теряем свои позиции. Ослабел приток поступающих в ДМШ, училища и ВУЗы, теряется престиж профессии. Конечно, это можно объяснить общей непростой экономической ситуацией в стране, проблемами в области культуры и, в частности, в музыкальном искусстве. Но может быть, мы можем кое-что и сами сделать для того, чтобы освежить ситуацию? Кафедра баяна, аккордеона РАМ им. Гнесиных обратилась к коллегам по всей стране с призывом провести 20 марта 2010 года
День Баяна, Аккордеона и Гармоники. Во всех уголках России должны звучать наши инструменты для широкой публики. Хотелось бы, чтобы СМИ нам уделили в этот день особое внимание. Предполагается проведение этого праздника ежегодным в третью субботу марта.

Allrussischer Tag des Bajans, des Akkordeons und der Harmonika

Das Bajan, das Akkordeon und die Harmonika waren in Russland immer sehr beliebt und populär. Ob an den Fronten des Grossen Vaterländischen Kriegs oder bei festlichen Anlässen wie Hochzeiten, stets waren diese Instrumente fester Bestandteil unseres Alltags. 1948 erhielten diese Volksinstrumente einen neuen Impuls, als am Gnessin-Institut (heutzutage Russische Musikakademie) die gleichnamige Fakultät eröffnet wurde.

Endlich erhielten die Volksmusiker ihre Ausbildung auf gleichem Niveau mit Pianisten und Geigern. Danach wurden ähnliche Lehrstühle und Fakultäten in allen Konservatorien des Landes (außer Moskau) eröffnet, wodurch die Bajanisten und Akkordeonisten eine führende Stellung in der Welt einnehmen und aus allen angesehenen internationalen Wettbewerben siegreich hervor gehen konnten. Heute schreiben für uns die größten Komponisten Russlands: S.Gubaidulina, A.Cholminow, R.Ledenjow, J.Podgaiz, M.Bronner, A.Schurbin und andere. Unsere Instrumente erklingen Solo, in Ensembles und mit Orchester in den größten Sälen der Welt.

Jedoch verlieren wir heute unsere Position in vielfacher Hinsicht. Der Zustrom zu den Kindermusikschulen, Mittel- und Hochschulen hat abgenommen, unser Beruf verliert sein Prestige. Natürlich lässt sich das durch die komplizierte allgemeine Wirtschaftslage im Land, die Probleme auf dem Gebiet der Kultur, und insbesondere in der Musikkunst erklären. Aber vielleicht können wir selbst etwas tun, um die Situation zu verbessern? Der Lehrstuhl für Bajan und Akkordeon der Gnessin Musikakademie hat alle Kollegen im ganzen Land aufgerufen, am 20. März 2010 einen Tag des Bajans, des Akkordeons und der Harmonika durch zu führen.

In allen Winkeln Russlands sollen unsere Instrumente für das breite Publikum gespielt werden. Es wäre wünschenswert, dass uns die Massenmedien an diesem Tag ihre volle Aufmerksamkeit schenken. Dieser Feiertag soll jährlich an jedem dritten Samstag im März abgehalten werden.

All-Russian day of bayan, accordion and harmonica

The bayan, the accordion and the harmonika always were very popular in Russia. Whether at the fronts of the Great Patriotic War or at celebrations such as weddings, these instruments always were an essential part of our everyday life. In 1948 these folk instruments got a new impulse, as a faculty of the same name was opened at the Gnessin Institute (nowadays Russian Music Academy).

Finally the folk musicians received their training on the same level as pianists and violonists. Afterwards similar chairs and faculties were opened in all conservatoires of the country (except Moscow). Bayanists and accordionists were taking a leading position all over the world, being victorious at all respected international competitions. Today the most famous composers of Russia write for us: S.Gubaidulina, A.Cholminov, R.Ledenyov, J.Podgaiz, M.Bronner, A.Shurbin and others. Our instruments are performed solo, in ensembles and with orchestra in the largest halls of the world.

Nowadays, however, we loose our position in many respects. Less pupils and students are attending the children’s schools of music, the high schools and universities, our profession looses its prestige. Certainly, this loss can be explained by the complicated general economic situation in the country, problems in the cultural field, and in particular in the music art. But perhaps we ourselves can contribute something in order to improve the situation? The chair for bayan and accordion of the Gnessin music academy invites all colleagues to organize a special day dedicated to the bayan, accordion and harmonica on 20th of March 2010. In all corners of Russia our instruments are to be played for the big public. It would be desirable that the mass media give us their full attention on this day. This holiday is to be held on each third Saturday in March annually

Süddeutsches Konzertina-Treffen in Wartaweil - Deutschland

Im Frühjahr vom 23. bis 25. April 2010
Seit 2001 finden die Süddeutschen Konzertinatreffen statt. Zunächst traf sich der Freundeskreis an wechselnden Orten, seit 2003 ist die BN-Ökostation in Wartaweil/Ammersee das Quartier der Wahl. Eine frisch renovierte alte Villa mit großem Park, herrliche Landschaft und wichtig: Keine Nachbarn, die man stören könnte...

Mit 10 bis 15 TeilnehmerInnen hat es eine recht überschaubare Größe und das soll auch so sein. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf dem gemeinsamen Musizieren (z.B. die Stücke auf der Melodienseite).

Allerdings hat sich das Treffen auch zu einer Anlaufstelle für Anfänger entwickelt, so dass wir für Deutsche Konzertina und Anglo Anfängerkurse anbieten.

Interessenten, die noch nicht wissen, welche Konzertina sie kaufen sollen, bilden die dritte Besuchergruppe. Hier können sie die verschiedenen Typen sehen, hören, antesten und sich beraten lassen.

Deutsche Konzertina, Anglos, Englische und Duet sind hier die gängigen Instrumente, aber auch Chemnitzer und Carlsfelder sind vertreten.

Mit Jochen Riemer, steht ein bewährter Ansprechpartner für verschiedene Konzertinatypen zu Verfügung. Um die Anfänger kümmert sich Klaus Wenger.

Einige Teilnehmer haben auch andere Instrumente dabei, was das Musizieren bereichert. Deswegen sind auch MusikerInnen mit anderen Instrumenten ausdrücklich eingeladen!

From his roots as a dance musician Paul has developed into a stylish melodeon player and singer, taking material mainly from the English tradition. In common with many of the new generation of folk performers, Paul was bought up surrounded by the folk music of his parents. Inspired to take up the melodeon after going to see John Kirkpatrick at the local folk club, Paul has since spent a year being mentored by the great man himself.

He has appeared at major festivals including Sidmouth, Whitby, Warwick, and Towersey, as well as folk clubs around the country. Paul is also a well respected workshop leader, running sessions at many festivals including Melodeons at Witney, giving insight into the mysteries of the melodeon and inspiration to participants.

Attraverso
il repertorio klezmer si potranno esplorare possibilità armoniche ed esecutive spesso trascurate nello studio
del repertorio popolare per organetto. Lo stage affronterà non solo lo studio di brani klezmer, ma anche e soprattutto il corretto stile interpretativo di questa meravigliosa musica.

26. Kemptener Jazz-Frühling
9 Tage Festival von morgens um 11.00 bis nachts um 5.00 Uhr. Es wird Jazzmusik in möglichst großer Breite geboten. Weltstars und regionale Künstler stehen auf einer Bühne, das heißt auf circa 32 Bühnen - vom open air bis zum Stadtsaal, vom kleinen Club mit 60 Sitzplätzen bis zur Kirche mit 1.000 Personen Fassungsvermögen ist die ganze Stadt in das Konzept eingebunden.

Geboten wird leichtverdauliches für den "Neuling" in Sachen Jazz ebenso wie avantgardistische Konzerte für die "Freaks". Besonderen Wert legen die Veranstalter auf den Kontakt zwischen Musiker und Publikum, so werden alle Künstler (wenn möglich) für einige Tage nach Kempten eingeladen, um auch "Land und Leute" kennenzulernen - für die Besucher gibt es Night-Sessions, bei denen die Künstler im Saal zwischen den Gästen sitzen, eine Gelegenheit zum "small talk" und zum Kennenlernen des "Menschen hinter dem Star".

IL FANCIULLO E IL FOLKLORE 2010 a Corinaldo - Italia

Dalla Sardegna al Friuli Venezia Giulia, passando per il Sud e il Centro-Italia, con la partecipazione di Gruppi Folklorici delle Marche, terra che ospita l'evento. In sintesi tutta Italia; e arriveranno anche dalla Russia e dalla Grecia. Pochi giorni (9-11 aprile) e a Corinaldo, in provincia di Ancona, s'alzerà il sipario sulla 26.ma edizione de "Il Fanciullo e il Folklore" - Incontro con le giovani generazioni, la Rassegna internazionale di folklore giovanile organizzata dalla Federazione italiana tradizioni popolari.
Cresce l'attesa nella città di Santa Maria Goretti e all'interno della FITP, per un evento che cattura l'attenzione di tanti addetti ai lavori e delle realtà che ospitano, di anno in anno, la "carovana" della Federazione presieduta da Benito Ripoli. Un programma come sempre ampio con protagonisti assoluti i ragazzi del mondo delle tradizioni popolari. Tanti appuntamenti con particolare attenzione alle due serate degli spettacoli e al "Festival del documentario etnografico", giunto alla quinta edizione (tema 2010: "I saperi dell'artigianato domestico e dei mestieri").

Die Seer Neue CD ‚Hoffen, glauben, liab’n’ - Austria

‚Hoffen, glauben, liab’n’ ist der Titel der neuen CD (Sony Music) und auch der Tour der SEER.
Nach zwei Jahren Kreativarbeit stellt sich die Band in etwas verändertem, musikalischen
Arrangements dar. Es ist, wenn man so den Versuch einer Erklärung wagen will, das
‚Seerische’ noch erdiger geworden.
Handarbeit - in allen Bereichen. Das Bandgefüge aus neun Individualisten erreicht neue
Qualitäten und auch die neuen Songs tragen die Handschrift der SEER. Die Mehrstimmigkeit, die
Harmonieführung, die textlichen Inhalte… aber all das schwingt auch im Zeitgeist.
Rauer, ungeschliffener, vielleicht etwas weniger in Watte gepackt. So wie die Zeit, so sind die
Lieder. Es ist das Erwachsenwerden einer Band, das nach mehr als 10 Jahren gemeinsamen
Musizierens wunderschön zu beobachten ist.
Ein Konzert der Band ist wie ein großes Treffen von Freunden und diese kommen in Scharen.
Band und Publikum sind so über die Jahre zusammen gewachsen. Man kennt sich und
vertraut einander und das öffnet die Ohren der Zuhörer für neue Songs. Das Publikum bei
SEER-Konzerten war seit jeher offen für Neues und daher ist jede Show eine für sich
einzigartige. Kein Ablauf ist gleich, kein Konzert ist wie das andere. Die Musiker reagieren
auf die Empfindungen des Publikums. Starre Schemen, die gibt es nicht.
Man(n) ist sich dessen bewusst. Mann ist Fred Jaklitsch. Kopf und Mastermind der SEER.
Mit viel Gespür baut er jede Show individuell auf, weil sie ein einzigartiges Ereignis ist.

Young Dwayne Verheyden on tour - Holland

Dwayne Verheyden was born in Montfort, a small village in the south of The Netherlands, on 4 September 1991.
At a very early age it appaered that music is his true passion. Just like his father. Dwayne took a fancy for Tex-Mex since his father played this kind of music frequently.
At the age of eight Dwayne was invited to play for the local tv station and has been accompanying his father to concerts of Flaco Jimenez ever since.
In 2006 he participated in the opening performance of the Tent of Emil, a quest for talented youngsters. It was broadcast on tv by L1 and released on DVD as well.
On 11 November 2007 Dwayne won the Sjeng Award. It is a price that is awarded to prospective/talented accordion players in the province of Limburg, The Netherlands.
His musical reportoire is quite varied. He loves to play musettes, tangos, walses, polka's, pasa dobles and sambas. However, Tex Mex is his true favourite.
Flaco Jimenez is his one and only shining example. Hence, it is Dwayne's most ardent wish to perform with Flaco on stage.
On 14 June 2008 Dwayne's wish came true. He had the opportunity to perform with Flaco on the Country Eind Festifal at Nederweert Eind and on 10 Novembre Dwayne went to the studio with Flaco and Max Baca to record.

Dwayne Verheyden wurde am 4 September 1991 in Montfort geboren.
Schon mit sehr jungem Alter schien Musik seine größte Passion. Gleich wie seinem Vater bekam Dwayne eine vorliebe für TexMex-Musik weil seinem Vater sich diese Musik sehr oft anhörte.
Mit 6 Jahren hat Dwayne angefangen mit Unterricht in Blockflöte spielen beim Örtlichen Flöte- und Trommelkorps.
Mit 8 Jahren wurde er eingeleden um für das Örtliche Fernsehen zu spielen. Zu dieser Zeit ist Dwayne auch mitgegangen als Flaco Jimenez einen Auftritt hatte.
In 2003, als Dwayne 12 Jahre alt war, hat er das Klavier Accordeon gewechselt für einen Knopfaccordeon
In 2005 hatte Dwayne einem Intervieuw angehend seine Vorliebe für das Accordeon. Dieses Interview wurde durch TV Limburg ausgesendet. Danach kamen viele Auftritte.
In 2006 war er bei der Premiere von "de Tent van Emil"(das Zelt von Emil), eine Suche nach jungem Talent. Diese Premiere wurde durch L1, einem provinziellem Sender, im Fernsehen ausgestrahlt und auf dvd gesetzt.
Am 11 November 2007 hat Dwayne der "Sjeng"gewonnen. Dies ist einen Preis für das anstürmende Accordeontalent in Limburg.
Seit Januar 2008 spielt Dwayne bei der TexMex Band Pinchitos Caliente.
Sein Reportoire ist zehr variiert. Er spielt Musette, Tango, Walz, Polka, Pasa Doble, Samba, Rock, Blues, aber vor allem TEX-MEX.
Flaco Jimenez, 5-facher Grammy Award Gewinner ist sein großes Idol. Seinen größten Wunsch einmal zuzammen mit Flaco auftreten zu dürfen ging am 14 Juni 2008 in Erfülling. Am 10 November 2008 sind Dwayne und Flaco Jimenez in ein Aufnahmestudio gegangen und haben dort zwei Songs aufgenommen.

Meet Cedric Watson in LA - USA

One of the most noted young talents to emerge in Cajun or Creole music in the past few years, Cedric Watson is a fiddler, vocalist, accordionist and songwriter of seemingly unlimited potential. Born in 1983, Cedric grew up in San Felipe, Texas surrounded by the sounds of blues, old soul, country and zydeco. Unlike his hip-hop focused peers, Cedric was drawn to the old-style French songs of Southwest Louisiana and the greater Houston area. He soon made his way to Lafayette, LA where he was enthusiastically accepted into the musical community and immediately recognized as an important participant in the continuity of Creole music.

Now Cedric continues to explore the roots of Louisiana’s Creole music with his own band, Bijoux Creole. Playing a variety of old-school zydeco styles, original material and Creole traditionals, the polyrhythmic and syncopated sounds of Africa and the Caribbean are unmistakable in this ensemble of talented musicians.

His soaring, soulful vocals, all in French, remind us of a time long ago. And his interest in reconnecting with the varied roots of the music in other parts of the world will make for an interesting ride. It will be nothing short of exciting to see what he does next.

23.-24. April 2010 - Der “Berliner Tag der Mundharmonika” sorgte in der Vergangenheit dafür, dass auch die Hauptstadt kein weißer Fleck mehr auf der Landkarte der Munharmonikaszene war. Unter dem neuen Namen „Berlin Harmonica Session“ setzt sich diese Veranstaltung in diesem Jahr fort.
Diese Tage stehen ganz im Zeichen der diatonischen Mundharmonika – die HARP SESSION, 4 Workshops werden angeboten, zur Harpsession am Abend sind wieder viele Gäste eingeladen.
